Our club is now 51 years old and we take great pride in our heritage and that we have been associated with the National Trust for whole of this time
The Bess of Hardwick Angling Club manages and fishes the Row Ponds. These are situated in the beautiful parkland of Hardwick Hall at Doe Lea. This stately one-time home of the Cavendish family is over 400 year old and is situated between Tibshelf and Pleasley in one direction, and Mansfield and Chesterfield in the other. The nearest junction to the M1 is J29 and the Hall is only 3 miles to the south. The estate is proffesional maintained in the style that typifies the age of the first Elizabethan era during which it was established, and is the most stunning backdrop you could wish to participate in our chosen sport.
